Apparently Obama and Clinton met Thursday night to discuss the possibility of combining forces in the presidential race, placing Clinton as running mate with the victorious Obama.
"We hope that Thursday night's conversation is a step toward an Obama-Clinton ticket that will unify the party." says a representative for VoteBoth, a group aiming to elect both candidates to office together.
Obama, please do not add Clinton to your ticket... her aggressive politics, history of partnering with big business, and her faulty health care plan all discredit her as a quality vice presidential candidate.
There are MUCH better options out there, believe me Senator Obama. Look no further than Indiana for your vice presidential fix... (hint hint)

Unfortunately, Senator Clinton is probably his best choice. Strictly speaking in terms of if he would like to win. Hillary carries heavily and the Clinton political machine has historically carried easily the demographics that Senator Obama needs alot of help with. Also Evan Bayh is possibly the biggest supporter of Clinton and I'm not certain if he would join the ticket that defeated her without her support anyways. Also dont forget that long ago Senator Clinton was one of the first proponents for universal health care when she was first lady. Unfortunately she was not able to get anything done from that place and Former president basically told her to drop the argument, as at that time it was not achievable. Possibly now with a higher seat of power and a boss who wants to rid those big business ties in Washington, she can actually achieve something.
PS don't let the ties to Wal-mart alter your judgment.

It's true that Hillary does carry weight in the demographics that Obama may struggle with, but I really don't see these voters flipping sides to vote Republican in the event of Obama choosing a different running mate.
Also, Hillary was indeed a pioneer for universal healthcare, but the big difference between Obama and Hillary's plans is that Obama wants to initiate a universal healthcare plan that is voluntary, while Clinton's is mandatory.
But you're right that a fundamental difference between Obama and Hillary is their attitude toward big business interests... perhaps this tension could prove productive as both sides would be represented in the White House...
PS - the ties to Wal-Mart will ALWAYS skew my opinion. lol
